-Spray a large section of your deck (like 3 or 4 whole boards at a time!).

You can usually find each of these at the dollar store and you’ll probably be able to make several topiaries with these supplies..So, you start out with some basic plastic eggs.

Grab your hot glue gun and start gluing them together. You’ll want to make a ring of about 4 eggs on the bottom and then start building up from there.I like to make sure they look a little random.

It’s really quick and easy to get a nice shape and you really don’t need to shell out the $10-$15 that those foam forms can sometimes cost.. Next, you’ll need to paint it!To get this natural look, I used some antique white craft paint.

Once that was dry, I took some watered-down brown paint and used my brush to kind of flick the watery paint at the eggs.

Worked like a charm! When it came time to hang up our fancy new chalkboard, we couldn’t just do the basic “nail in the wall and a piece of string” method, now could we?

Well, actually I totally would have if it was up to me.Or I would have just hot glued it right to the wall.

Of course Chris stepped in and decided to do things the “right way”.And his right way was, well….
